UPS aims to reduce the companywide carbon intensity of its operations 20% by 2020. Additionally, the company is more than halfway toward its goals of planting 15 million trees and volunteering over 20 million hours by 2020. UPS’ supplier diversity program has produced more than $2.3 billion in economic impacts, too.
The United States Equal Opportunity Employment Commission has filed a lawsuit against United Parcel Service for discriminating against individuals whose religious affiliations required growing beards. The company has faced numerous other lawsuits regarding workforce management and relations.
