The company is headquartered in Japan.
SMTH is a signatory to a number of leading responsible investment initiatives including the UN Principles for Responsible Investment, the Principles for Financial Action towards a Sustainable Society, Biodiversity in Good Company and to the Equator Principles. The company implements environmental, social and governance (ESG) integration in its asset management business in three ways: ESG integration (through its in-house ESG rating), proxy voting and direct company engagement.
